The George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park opened in April 1993, thanks to the vision and diligence of Dr. Robert Marquardt, funding from the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, a partnership with Ogden City, and contributions from countless donors. Over the past 22 years the Park has expanded to more than eight acres with more than 100 dinosaur sculptures. In 2002 the Stewart Museum opened which added dinosaur skeleton casts, fossils, and animatronic dinosaur display, a working paleontology lab, and a natural history collection.
