Description
Elementary day camps teach kids ages 7 to 11 each of the basic stages of paleontological study—from digging the fossil to lab work to reconstruction to experiments and interpretation using published scientific studies as a model for most of the camp’s activities. Camps last four hours, with two sessions available per month (choose ONE)—each month will feature a new prehistoric organism. Participants should dress for outdoor exploration and bring both a sack lunch and a water bottle. Please let us know if participants have any allergies or special needs.
This event is geared for children ages 7 to 10—if special arrangements need to be made for siblings outside that age range to attend, or if you have any questions about the camp, please contact Jeff@dinosaurpark.org before registering. The Camp will last from 9AM-1PM.
If you are a Dinosaur Park Member, please include your membership number in the appropriate field of the registration form. Members may use the coupon code CAMPOUT23 at checkout to apply the membership discount.
Activities are conducted both inside and outdoors. We recommend you check the weather beforehand and plan accordingly. In the summer months, bringing a water bottle is always a good idea, as are sunscreen and a hat. We recommend marking items like water bottles or hats with at least a temporary tag including your name in case they get lost.
The camp itinerary includes a lunch break. Please send children with a sack lunch that does not need refrigeration.
